VTB denies having operations with Central African Republic
MOSCOW, Nov 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s second largest lender VTB has no transactions with the Central African Republic, the bank said in a statement on Wednesday, denying an earlier report by Reuters that it gave an 802 billion ruble loan to the country, as follows from a quarterly report available on the website of the central bank.
VTB said, “VTB has absolutely no transactions with the Central African Republic, we have no exposure of this volume to this country.”
The bank also said that there was a technical mistake in the report, which might have led to the conclusion about the loan.
